You've read the book, now
write your story

We're inviting you to write your story on life meanings and share it with the world through our social media and blog.

And who knows, you could even be part of our next book!

Become part of our mission to inspire a world where
life meanings are just as important as life milestones

Here's what you'll need to do...

1. Choose your life meaning

Ask yourself: What is the one life meaning I would love my child to learn from me? It could be a belief, value, purpose or passion that’s important to you or has marked your life in some way.

2. Choose your life moments

Reflect on the moment(s) and anecdotes in your life that lead you to that life meaning.

3. Start writing

Write a piece of up to 600 words long that portrays your life meaning, relating those moments from your life which have given the foundations of your belief, value, purpose or passion.

4. Come up with a title

Give it a title that reflects your life meaning. It needs to read like the message you want to tell your child.

5. Craft your bio

Write a short bio (around 50 words) in the third person giving some details of who you are, where you’re from, your hobbies, work etc. But, if you prefer you can remain totally anonymous.

6. Optional photo

Include a photo for us to use alongside your story on our social media and blog. This is totally optional; we can publish your story without any photo.

The mum behind the mission

Hi! I'm Angharad,
book editor and founder of Social Enterprise, Meanings Over Milestones

My story of life meaning

Since early adulthood I have been interested in finding life meanings in whatever has come my way. And if you have read my story in the book, you'll already know that I found the beginnings of my purpose when volunteering in Romania when I was twenty.

But finding your purpose doesn't mean that you know how to live it. After many years of trying I began to gradually get frustrated by it and my lack of "success" with it. So for a while I tried to ignore it. At one point I even became afraid of it. But eventually I came around to realising that everything always lead me back to it.

This project is part of that purpose. And my purpose is my passion. And it's what underlies most of my values and beliefs

Becoming a mum almost four years ago gave me this sense of urgency that sparked a deep need in me to finally and truly live my purpose: to build a better world for all children to grow up and grow old in.
